For her...
Which metal?
If you are have an engagement ring and, as most people will, you are going to wear your wedding ring next to it, then you really must choose a ring in the same metal.
Platinum is a very hard metal and as such will wear on gold. Furthermore you should not wear 9ct and 18ct gold next to each because the different purities mean that they attack each other. You will find in time that your rings become unusually sharp on the edges as they wear each other away.
If you do fancy having a different colour wedding ring to your engagement ring then we do have a subtle solution.
A thin band of the same metal as the engagement ring can be permanently joined to the band so the part of the ring that touches the engagement ring is made of the same metal.
To compliment your engagement ring?
You don't want to take away from the beauty of your engagement ring. You want to enhance the overall look both with the design of the wedding ring and how it sits with the engagement ring.
We specialise in suggesting designs that compliment your style and whatever you choose we can shape and fit to your engagement ring. This may extend to matching the profiles of your bands including the depth and the width, which can be done exactly, and also incorporating a curve or even a split to the band. You don't have to settle for 'nearly fits' with our bespoke service.
Here at Cathy Stephens Jewellery we pride ourselves on our expertise in helping you choose your perfect wedding rings as well as being able to make the perfect bespoke ring for you both to treasure.
